Montford Challenge

Saturday 16th March 11.00am Time trial on the River Severn, Open to Celtic & Pembroke longboats –

Teifi-skiffs & other fixed seat tubs may apply – Coxes can swap. No passengers. Trophies for Seniors, Ladies, Mixed, Vets, Super Vets, Pembroke, Teifi Average age of all crew will determine age class.

In a return to the old format, this will be a 11.5 mile endurance race upstream from Shropshire Showground to Montford Bridge. This is an arduous race, not for the faint-hearted!

Exact itinerary may be subject to change dependant on river conditions! A finish time limit will be set and positions noted for final results should boats fail to cross the line. Meet and start – The Shropshire Showground, SY1 2PF. Coxes briefing at 10:30am, ready to race for 11:00am Pre-race breakfast, post-race food, Bar, Evening Entertainment.
